The idea!

Hellloooo Cambridge, I’m back and better with another intriguing post that’s sure to get your attention!  After much deliberation, talking, and planning me and my partner Adrianna have figured out the plot for our opening that we will create to fufill our final project requirements. 

The scene will begin with a show of abuse between the main characters of the toxic couple. The couple will be arguing and a bottle (glass) will be thrown at the wall and the glass will shatter and cut the face of the girl. The next scene will cut to the girl with a faint scar on her face walking inside of a party, as she enters the camera will follow her, she looks around and sees her boyfriend. When she sees her boyfriend there will be flashbacks of them being very loving but more flashbacks of abuse will appear. 

The next scene will be him walking towards her and more flashbacks will occur until it cuts to him finally reaching her and she says “hey babe! I was looking for you”. This will nicely open the movie that would probably continue to observe her relationship and follow her escape from the abuse. 

We want the piece to highlight domestic violence and open up a conversation about abuse in toxic relationships, as well as set up the rest of the movies psychological aspect as we as viewers understand why she is with him and why she finds it hard to leave as she finds the strength it takes to leave. It is a romance as we want people to understand the love they share and why it’s difficult to leave, but it is a psychological drama, and that is because of the abuse and understanding those dynamics and the journey it takes her to leave.
